By the close of the 90s & a few years thereafter, one section of middle class Indians who had travelled to the West, especially US wrote copious blogs on what made the US so great.
"Rule of law" would invariably top these reasons. Their condemnation of their own country which enabled to go there was stunning, bordering on hatred.
The other attitude in these blogs was "We have all the solutions." These guys actually wrote grand plans for making urban indian localities into smooth roads with manicured lawns like in the US.
Then hurricane Katrina hit. We all know the mass looting, etc that happened. So much for "rule of law."
When the contrast was made with the horrible Bombay rains & how we battled & braved it without said "rule of law," these guys had no response.
Something similar is happening now, during the #CoronavirusOutbreak. Barring the brainwashed hordes of RoP & some perverted media, the real India is showing how it's done. After all, we triumphed Aurangzeb & the British.
When this #ChineseVirus thing is done, fundamental changes will occur in the very notions of say business, economics, ideas will be revised, the enduring will be revived or recast...the asuric West is fast fading away.
To consolidate the gains & relative stability we have achieved in the last 6 years, two pressing issues MUST be confronted head-on. That will really change everything in our favour.
