YOU CANNOT BE HAPPY BY STOPPING SOMEONE ELSE'S WAY TO HAPPINESS

Thread
By the nature God Has created us, we all want peace of mind, peace where we live, security against anything that threatens our peace & happiness, contentment, freedom from anxiety, worries, perturbation & all form of troubles. These, crowned wth success & wealth & long life.
When we attain this status, we can say literally that we have enjoyed absolute joy & happiness. How we achieve these is what differs, whether we do legally or illegally & without taking us away from the main reason we all exist in this temporary world, which is to serve God.
Achieving these goals in life does not obey the rule of "the end justifies the means" as long as you are a true believer. Thus, there exist natural ways as well as religious ways of achieving these. As a believer, you can achieve both, which a non believer cannot achieve.
If we follow these means to a happy & successful end, we will sure attain it, depending on how much we are able to hold unto them.

(a) Allaah says in Surah Nahl, verse 97:

"“Whoever works righteousness — whether male or female — while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic
Monotheism) verily, to him We will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and We shall pay them certainly a reward in proportion to the best of what they used to do (i.e. Paradise in the Hereafter).”

A clear promise of good life here
and hereafter from Allah (SWT) to anyone who combines faith & righteous deed. A sincere faith & righteous deeds motivate one to live all his/her life towards Allah, accept whatever comes from Allah with good faith, no worries & absolute calmness that such is certainly the best.
This is what the Noble Prophet (SAW) meant in the Hadith of Imam Muslim where he said:

"How wonderful is the situation of the believer, for all his affairs are good. If something good happens to him, he gives thanks for it & that is good for him; if something bad happens to him,
he gives thanks for it and that is good for him; if something bad happens to him, he bears it with patience, and that is good for him. This does not apply to anyone but the believer.”

(Source: Saheeh Muslim, no. 2999).

For a true believer, every situation is a gain.
(b) To remove worries in your life & all forms of distress, employ the act of being kind to people in words & deeds, & do everything good that comes your way. Infact, go out of your way to be good. You will never be depressed nor be consumed by worries. Be a source not a barrier.
Everyone can do this, but to a believer, he achieves even more, bcos the act of kindness should be born out of sincerity & hope for reward from Allah (SWT) not expecting any reward or even THANK YOU from the person he is being kind to. Allah the Most High says in Surah Nisa' 114:
“There is no good in most of their secret talks save (in) him who orders Sadaqah (charity in Allah’s Cause), or Ma‘roof (Islamic Monotheism and all the good and righteous deeds which Allah has ordained), or conciliation between mankind; and he who does this,
seeking the good Pleasure of Allah, We shall give him a great reward.”

(c) A believer who occupies himself with good deeds has an automatic & divine cure from all forms of anxiety born out of nervous tension & disturbing worries. Again, everyone can do this, but for a believer
he is distinguished by the fact that he does that with all sincerity seeking for reward from Allah, not praises from people or social media applauses. He doesn't wait for people to hail him, so even when they don't do, he won't be disturbed bcos he awaits his reward from Allah.
(d) Another means to attain such level of happiness is to adhere to that formula given to us by our noble Prophet (SAW); not to worry about the future, nor regret the past, but focus on the present. Why worry on what has passed since you can't change it, or the future since you
cannot control it? Worry about your present. This is entailed in this beautiful Hadith of the Prophet (SAW):

“Strive for that which will benefit you and seek the help of Allah, and do not be helpless. If anything (bad) happens to you, do not say, ‘If only I had done such-&-such,
then such-and-such would have happened.’ Rather you should say, ‘Qaddara Allah wa ma sha a fa’ala (Allah decrees, and what He wills He does),’ for (the words) ‘If only’ open the door to the Shaytan.” (Narrated by Imam Muslim).

See how beautifully the Noble Prophet put it to us:
He connected the matter of striving to achieve good things with seeking the help of Allah and not giving in to feelings of helplessness which are a harmful kind of laziness, at the same time accepting things in the past which are over and done with,
and acknowledging that the will and decree of Allah will inevitably come to pass.

(e) Another great way of achieving peace of mind & great deal of happiness is to remember Allah a lot. Allah says:

“Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.”

[Surah Al-Ra’d 13:28]
Finally, know that you cannot be happy by hindering another person's happiness. Do not be a sadist, because it will only make things worse for you. The blessings that person has, which makes him happy are things you cannot take away from them. Even if you can, why should you?
Why won't you seek your own happiness through the same means that person sought for his/her own happiness? Do not be a Prophet of doom. Do not be a calamity to people if you cannot be a source of their happiness.
