It doesn’t stop there. The not so great Britian Empire should not be allowed to be edited out by the likes of Baring and Johnson. Had it not been so maybe those banging it’s drum would show shame

The Baring family made its fortune in part through the slave trade. Indeed it’s one of the families that was COMPENSATED by us, the British taxpayer- £9,900 (£1.3 million in today’s money)
