Landed at the Delhi airport. Waited up to an hr before de-boarding. Delhi passengers de-boarded first and were sent to separate queues. Chennai passengers were sent to another place for transfer. They have chairs all over to sit. Details post landing on this thread #VBM 
Boarded Chennai flight, finally!
Again, snacks and water were placed at our seats. Everything was organised very well at the @DelhiAirport. They made sure everyone followed social distancing and had lined up chairs so that everyone can sit. Super impressed! #VandeBharatMission

Finally, we landed in Chennai about an hour ago. We were asked to wait for few mins before landing. Post landing, they made a temp check, completed our immigration and headed towards baggage claim. The whole process took less than 30 mins. Very well organised again. #VBM
Just before baggage claim, we were given these forms for mandatory 7 day quarantine at hotels (paid) or govt facilities (free). They only had options A & C. I chose paid hotel quarantine and we were allocated to Taj Connemara near Spencer. Note that hotel choices are not given
After filling the forms, we collected the baggage which only took 5 mins for me. Then, we proceeded via customs to exit, where they put this seal on our hands and then sent us to covid test kioks. Throat swabs were collected. Not painful at all! Again, very well prepared #VBM
After the covid test, we submitted the forms at the desks and buses were available at the airport to take us to the hotel. And now, we are on our way to the hotel. Thanks to @Indian_Embassy @airindiain for organising this & helping us get back to our family #VandeBharatMission
We arrived at the hotel & it was pretty good for the price paid. 2,5k for 7 days incl food & should be paid in advance. But we had no help with the luggage. If you’re parents are old & travelling with big luggages, give them a heads up. Almost everyone was dragging 3 big trolleys
Guys, read the thread. List of hotels were not given. Either govt quarantine or paid for 2.5k per day. They allocated Taj Connemara to all of us who chose paid quarantine. You know about it only after the baggage claim
Although, it took us 48 hours to make it to Chennai, I am very grateful. TBH, it was suffocating to wear the PPE kit just for 8 hours. But, for the airport authorities and police officials, it’s an everyday mandate since last many days. What they do is highly commendable!
