Ok I have to do this. I always had a keen interest in politics just had NO IDEA how to enter. Honestly, I never even thought I'd ever be a part of the system in anyway because which middle class person with NO political background or backing even gets here 🤷‍♀️

And then I came across NSUI elections. As it turns out, when @RahulGandhi as AICC GS became the in-charge of NSUI & IYC, he put his vision of opening up the system into practice.He wanted to open the doors of the Congress party to everyone - irrespective of anything.

So anyone could now join the system - irrespective of political background, financial status, gender, religion, caste, nothing mattered. NSUI also reserved positions for women & people belonging to SC & ST categories. And that's how I entered.

And that's how I entered politics. Back in 2010 I became a primary member, and then in 2012 contested state president elections. So so many like me have entered because of this vision of his. I have always been surrounded by such inspiring stories in this party.

Oh, and what an experience it has been! His working style has been SO inspiring. Critical thinking has ALWAYS been encouraged. I remember during our NE meetings with @RahulGandhi, we could speak whatever we wanted, even criticize & disagree with decisions if we wanted to.

Truth has always been given the highest place, and we were always taught to be empathetic and do what's right to uphold the idea of a progressive and inclusive India no matter how unpopular they may be. Hatred, abuse, negativity found no place in our politics.

All I want to say is, I'm so proud to belong to such a party, and have the privilege of working under the leadership of such a sensitive and righteous leader, @RahulGandhi.
