As a cry against the mountain of injustice and harm inflicted on citizens, minority and otherwise, I take it to heart. Am moved by it.
Without a doubt American has steadily become a more litigious, legalistic, & power sotted country, one where police power functions w some immunity for its "legal" violence.
We have, thankfully, seen the top military reject this role. For now. Back to the #brownshirt function.
The author cites many, but her prescriptions seem utopian, not viable. A vision perhaps, but not a remedy in the present tense.
For now, & for the long future, we will need a police function.
So it seems to me.
