1. You get to know the product in and out totally. you will know what features are on the roadmap, what can be improved, what will work for the future, what wont, etc.

But, any random person outside of the product circle will 'definitely' have an out of the box idea that you've never thought of. keep your ears open.
2. you know all the design styles, you maintain a perfect style guide, you stick to the rules for all new features.

But, rules are meant to be broken. Make sure your design system evolves with the product. Any design system for sure will get outdated over a period. Keep updating it.
3. Every design you do, will 'suit/fit' the existing layouts and screen. Nothing looks new.

But, every design you do is a 'new' design. Increase your visual variations and bring down your logical defending statements on why the existing style should be followed. Explore. There is always a 'better' version out there.

Work on your personal projects, smaller items on other products, or keep reworking on your portfolio. Only way to avoid burn outs is to keep trying out newer and out of the box designs.
Finally, working on a single product has its own advantages & disadvantages. Give your full and when the time comes, take the risk (opportunity) to work on something new. Overcome the emotional connect with the product and plan for a new beginning. #design #designtwitter #career
