This is incredibly irresponsible on every level. 
2/ If NHJ thinks there is credence to this incredibly unlikely-seeming conspiracy theory, she has every right to either report on it herself, or find a Times colleague to convince. But to pass this along as trustworthy is really doing a disservice to vulnerable communities.
