Scenario 1: 1 million teens registered for Trump's rally using their cellphones, Google Voice, and other services, and at no point did the campaign get wind of this ruse. Brad and Co. saw the unusual number of registrations and never thought to do a random audit on the numbers...
They ignored the blatantly obvious, although this same ruse was attempted a dozen times since 2016. Then the day of the rally they were caught of guard by the small crowd and ultimately duped by clever teens. Then the campaign denies it happened and blames protesters...
Scenario 2: Brad lied about the registration numbers to the public and Trump, and made Trump think there was massive demand when there wasn't. He went forward with the overflow stage to perpetrate the lie, and he always intended to claim the protests affected turnout..
Brad is making a lot of money grifting, and he couldn't tell Trump he was unable to fill a stadium in Tulsa, Trump would fire him. The teen story is funny, but it is only plausible if Brad & Co. are completely incompetent. Brad lied to save his job...Occam's Razor.
Side note: Brad would benefit from fake registrations, because he could claim they removed the fake registrations and there was still thousands of real registrations when there wasn't. Who could check that? Jared? Jr? Eric? Brad always knew the stadium wouldn't be filled.
Follow up: The folks who are saying " I know teens who actually did this" are completely missing the point. No one is saying teens didn't register, but you are assuming Brad & Co. didn't know they were fake registrations. Spoiler alert: they knew.
