(1) @wmata's ROCC leadership reorganization announcement yesterday had to happen after the incidents STATter911 told you about that occurred on December 10, February 4 & as recently as June 6. I have no clue if it will make a difference, but I certainly hope so. (more) #WMATA

(2) The status quo is intolerable. The same mistakes/practices from the deadly L'Enfant Plaza of 2015 still occur. Many of the issues go back decades. The big change now is @MetrorailSafety's vigilant focus on ROCC. Here's WMSC's statement:

(3) Safety will never trump revenue without ROCC 100 percent with the program. The checklists @MetrorailSafety want ROCC to use make perfect sense as long as all involved use critical thinking & situational awareness skills informed by a culture where safety is always the goal.
