My #thread, to lobby to help #SaveOurABC... I'm determined to swear that it's not too late, and years of cut funding can be restored.

An essential part of our lives -- case in point, how they have been there for us during the bushfire and COVID-19 crises, Monday nights, etc....

At this point, our best recourse is to contact each of the communications ministers. They need to be held accountable, to help #SaveOurABC before it falls into LNP/IPA hands.

I will be providing Twitter handles, e-mail addresses, and office numbers. Public record info.

We need to let them know just what the ABC means, as an essential part of Australian life and as an indispensable service over the years, in order to reverse years of funding cuts.

And let them know respectfully.

@PaulFletcherMP, incidentally, is yet another LNP communications minister who holds membership in the IPA, the ABC's long-time suitors. This represents a huge conflict of interest. As long as the #SaveOurABC campaign is in the balance, he needs to resign from that membership.

To #SaveOurABC, all or part of the $783million which has been cut since the Abbott years has to be returned to our national broadcaster, so they -- and their restored charter -- can be with us in times of crisis and prosperity. #auspol

Great lineup on the main ABC channel tonight. Public affairs on Monday nights are good, the original content on Wednesdays is even better. It's nice & edgy. Want to see it retained? #SaveOurABC -- we'd hate to see @charliepick @shaunmicallef @RayMartin etc., out on the streets.
