THE NINE UNKNOWN MEN OF ASHOKA ( Guardian of ancient knowledge)
This is what urban legends are made of !!!
Some of the best occult researchers of the world believe in society of Nine unknown men that was founded by Emperor Ashoka. Ashoka, disillusioned with the Kaliga war
wanted to ensure that all the knowledge he had created to win wars and destroy civilizations do not fall in the wrong hands and thus formed this society of 9 men to guard and build upon this knowledge. Each of these 9 men were given one book each to safegaurd & further build the
knowledge. These were-
Propaganda: The first book contained the techniques of propaganda and psychological warfare. This was an important aspect because if one could mould public opinion, one could rule the world.
Physiology: The second book focused on physiology and explained
how to kill a person simply by touching him. It involved the reversal of a nerve impulse.
Microbiology: The third book discussed microbiology and biotechnology. They had apparently developed a “divine nectar” and are thus immortal and have lived down these 2000 years.
Alchemy: The fourth book dealt with alchemy i.e. transmutation of metals. In times of severe drought, temples and relief organizations received large quantities of gold from ‘a secret source.
Communication: The fifth book contained the study of all means of communication
both terrestrial as well as extra-terrestrial.
Gravity: The sixth book explored the secrets of gravitation and contained instructions on how to build an anti-gravity, flying machine known as a “vimana”
osmology: The seventh book dealt with cosmology and all matters related
to the universe.
Light: The eighth book discussed the properties of light, such as the speed of light and how to change its speed to use it as a weapon.
Sociology: The ninth book was about sociology. It included rules for the evolution of human societies and a means
of foretelling their eventual decline. Thus, it contained ways to create, nurture and destroy a whole culture or civilization.

They believed that some of the greatest scientists of India like Bose and Vikram Sarabhai received advice and guidance from this society.
In the 1960 Novel ‘The Morning of the Magicians’ by Louis Pauwels and Jacques Bergier, formed a solid base to support the existence of the society. They claimed that Pope Silvester II had met the society and also that the 19th-century French administrator and writer Louis
Jacolliot( French consul at Calcutta) confirmed their existence. On his return from India, the Pope had brought many strange ‘gadget-type’ things like a bronze head that
was like a computer and was capable of interacting via speech and answering yes and no questions, which was a considerably advanced technology for that time period. Later, when he tried to display it to the public in a church, he mysteriously fell ill and died.
British officer posted in India - Talmond Mundy wrote a novel in 1923 which he claimed was part true and part fiction and was based on 9 men.

There is another theory that says that the society was formed to preserve the secrets of Rama Empire( 10,000 BC-2500 BC)
Rama empire was believed to be technologically advanced beyond belief and was destroyed due to Nuclear warfare.
