Earlier today, KAM CEO joined @KenyaCOVIDFund Board Chair Jane Karuku and @KeEquityBank Dr James Mwangi at @fargocourierke to flag off locally manufactured Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) for frontline medical personnel across the country.

Dr James Mwangi, @KeEquityBank MD - Local manufacturers have demonstrated their capacity to ensure constant, reliable production & delivery of PPEs. @fargocourierke shall ensure quality verification & guarantee their delivery to hospitals across the country.

Jane Karuku, @KenyaCOVIDFund Board Chair - We have a corporate governance structure that ensures efficiency & transparency. So far, we have raised KSh 1.1 bn to acquire PPEs for frontline medical personnel across the country.

It has been a great afternoon recapping the outcomes of the First Ever Women in Manufacturing Research in Kenya #WIMKe

In a forum hosted by @ICRWAfrica to discuss the #WIMReport, KAM CEO @PhyllisWakiaga noted, 'Women are sidelined in the sector, with majority of industries being predominantly male-owned & staffed. Only 3 out of the 14 sectors have a female workforce of 40% & above.'
