This period has been one of the most consequential in the history of the United States, that threatens to either tear apart the very fabric of the nation we know today or unite us more than ever.

had been white or a person of color
or if it occurred in China or Nigeria.
It was especially hard after 3 months
of COVID-19 ravaging America.

hope, consequences mean nothing”.
Hope then is what we need to instill
back into America so that there is a
shared sense of belonging, so that
healing and rebuilding can begin.

Derek Chauvin not just by persons of
color, but also by whites, by pretty
much every police chief in the nation,
and by politicians of all stripes and
by most rank and file Americans.

persons of color to channel Dr. M.L.
King's message that injustice
anywhere is a threat to justice
everywhere, and that we are all
caught up in an inescapable network
of mutuality.

We all need to reach out a hand of
grace to each other to give hope to
the next generation for healing to
begin.

heal as a nation, we cannot fall into
the trap of looking at every
policeman and police woman as the
enemy.
Policemen and women cannot look
at every person of color as the
enemy.

We need hope, we need healing, and we need to reach out to each other and try to understand the core of why we are all feeling the way we do.

Like it or not, our fate as a nation is intertwined with one another.
We cannot wish away a specific group of people whether we are of color or we are white.
