Efforts have been made, and measures implemented day and night through the unity of government agencies, citizens and residents of the #UAE and the commitments have culminated in the announcement of the end of the National Sterilization Program and related procedures.
Since marking the end of the National Sterilization Program, authorities have seen an increase in violators who are flouting the guidelines and being negligent to their health and the health of the nation.
Violations have been primarily in the failure to observe social distancing, not wearing masks and holding gatherings in public and private dwellings. Accordingly, additional fines and penalties have been announced for repeat violators.
There is serious concern that the violations from reckless and irresponsible individuals will undo all the success which has been achieved in the last few months in the battle against #Covid19.
We emphasize the need to adhere to wearing masks in public places, public transportation or commercial centers, when walking outside in public places with high density and in private transportation.
Masks must be worn in the workplace or when moving from one place to another in shared labour accommodation. Social distancing must be maintained between people in public places, shopping centers, restaurants, swimming pools and beaches.
Gatherings in public and private places, in homes, farms, and apartments are prohibited, and not following these guidelines will see violators fined.
Family visits are limited to visiting first-degree relatives only, taking into account physical distancing, especially with the elderly and those suffering from chronic diseases.
Individuals should comply with compulsory hospitalization decisions for the injured, the procedures and instructions of quarantine; whether at home or in private facilities and re-examination instructions issued by the health authorities.
