Occupancy limits and table spacing in restaurants and bars are mostly theatre. Not much real protection in an enclosed space with lots of people talking and eating unmasked.
Several folks in the replies pointing out that the restaurant’s claim it was following distancing rules seems....dubious.
More replies casting doubt on the claim the venue was adhering to distancing guidelines.
But that's kind of the point. If indoor service is allowed, it's hard to ensure restos/bars (and their patrons) will comply with guidelines; which in any case provide limited protection.
