Yesterday Aurora, Colorado was holding a violin vigil for Elijah McClain, who was known for playing his violin, especially to animals.

Then the police decided they’d seen enough.
Police then used pepper spray to clear the park. There were families and kids out in Aurora. It was literally just a violin vigil for Elijah.

Indigenous protesters at Mount Rushmore (sacred Lakota land) have removed the tires from the large white vans in the background, creating a road block that will be very difficult to move.

I feel sick.

Hundreds of people have been camping out by NYC City Hall for a week to demand the city defund the NYPD.

The budget vote is today.

So the mayor sent the NYPD to break it up before the vote.

Knowing that meant beatings and arrests.
@NYCMayor did you want to avoid bad press around your bogus budget? Because this looks like the start of some pretty bad press to me.
The NYPD assaulted these people just hours ago. When I was down at #OccupyCityHall it was the definition of a peaceful protest.

Free food, discussions, even free COVID tests.

And now, because the budget vote is today, the violent NYPD was unleashed.
