How pitty is it that we don’t even respect the past we come from and at par, politicians made a fuss about it and the dividiend created a hate against an animal too.
COW, an animal to some, worship to many.
There is an obnoxious environment around the word ‘Cow’ around the country, wherey people fight upon this, kill, murder and exchange hatred upon each other. This mostly results into communal hatred as usual towards the end and then politicians cook their politics in it.
The Holy Animal to a majority of this nation is such a big agenda that it has taken international recognisation wherby, UNCIRF specially stated a column in their report about the situations around COWs in India and made it a point putting India in a category of CPC.
What is it ? Is this any usual ? Is it really worth it ? Does mocking your own national subject upon his/her belief any justification to your beliefs or faiths ? Is this just a division upon politics or it has taken our minds to the deepest, many questions surfaces.
In the Stone age, reffered as Paleolithic age, which accounts at around 2 million years ago, humans had nothing, they are said to have been existed near the equator, in Africa. That establishment saw a very tough time for survival and thereby no account for so has been found.
Slowly, steadily, the water became one of the most important source of livelihood and navigation alongside hunter gathering. The time was so that, there were no means of agriculture the way we see it today. The people of stone age explored and established their nomadics soon.
Slowly, they learned techniques for survival which took them to the later stone age or neolithic age around 12,000 years ago, which tells us that they developed forms for farming and so on alongside weapons more sharpened than in the earlier age.
This cycle continued and came a time where humans gathered enough information to hunt, farm and eat. The same have been confirmed around the earlier Harrapan Civilizations and Indus Valley.
The cattle, mostly ‘Cow’ as it serves a subject of debate, became one of the most important element of the very early settlements because they could be used both for food, gave food in form of dairy and no doubt were employed in agriculture through wooden and stone harvesters.
This feeling for the ‘JUST an ANIMAL’ is still evident in the 21st century world, wherein, Africa, a tribe called Hereo in Namibia, still finds the ‘Cattle’ their source of life and foodgiver.
India, a country, which is said to have developed the biggest civilization besides all others in the world also had the same inference as it was in other establishments worldwide.
Here, the Indian history have been said to be in Rig-Vedic times where, there are enough evidences that the people, the leaders of tribes or kings fought each other for cattle and in return for the win, cattles were taken from the other side.
The varna system took over the historical advancements in the Buddha age or the later vedic ages, here, the kings in a showboat and to tell his subjects, used to perform sacrifices which were taken over in the presence of a feudal brahmana.
This made the lower varna people much worried, because, they were the ones who would be asked to pay the taxes but in an agrarian world, how without cattles can they produce a surplus enough to give it away to the King and his revenue collectors.
This made a huge population turn towards Buddhism because of the non sacrificial based ideology of Gautama. This was seen as a backlash in the sect of upper varnas and very sooner than later, cattle sacrifices were stopped resulting greater value to the cattle holders.
The age of then GUPTA emipre, a subastantial in the mainland India, have said to been compiled all the upnishads and available texts of hindu literature where ‘COW’ in specific denotes gods and goddesses of Hinduism.
The dharma was soon taught to have been based on the four legs of cows denoting austerity, cleanliness, truthfulness, and kindness.
This cult became popular and was adopted by all the Hindu rulers untill the invasions from NWF but, Medivial Indian kings also denoted cows as a holy highness seen in different temples built by Hindu kings in the part of country.
The same was carried towards the making of Indian Constitution and was a great deal of discussion in the Constituent Assembly lead by Rajendra Prasad.
Later this was made a Directive Principle of State Policy (DPSP) read as Article 48 of Indian Constitution.
The politics around this subject stands so baseless, if it is ‘FAITH’ and is questioned in any form, the preamble reads the needed.
There are some real topics to debate on and not to make a jibe out of cow dunk or its urine. Neither should this be used as taking away lives. Co-existence should be the main objective because, any religion, cattle were once a source for every ‘HUMAN BEING’ ever existed.
