Sophisticated delivery system. The targeting of non voters. The targeted social media advertising, with real time adjustments to cater to specific demographics.

I am distressed by brexit & often frustrated by the blind belief some people have.

But no matter how angry I am about this issue I can't actually bring myself to blame anyone but a small group of individuals, Cameron, Johnson, Cummings, Gove, etc ..
Brexiteers have been mildly brainwashed by bombardment.

There is also the need to belong and the desired recognition within a group.
If all in the group think in one particular way it is hard for an individual to express difference of opinion and will likely face ridicule.
If someone is that disrespectful they are not a friend.

The exodus to Parler is dangerous. Look back to the Facebook moderators, people sharing extreme views have ring fenced their opinions. Those who disagree will likely be harassed from the platform. Or ridiculed into submission. Or won't speak up for fear of loosing friends.

Add all this up, & you end up with a demographic who will be impossible to reach until they open their eyes by choice. People who will blindly double down on their position if they feel ridiculed.

How do we reach these people? ..

We can't is the simplest answer. But brexiteers who now have their eyes open can. We must show these people compassion and forgiveness. Change & engage, the most effective way would be grassroots door to door information, repeatedly. Bravado is less an issue 1-2-1.

But there also needs to be a well funded fact checked social media advertising angle too. repeatedly. Awake brexiteers need to be encouraged and supported in sharing their message.

To this end I will try to stop using the pejorative 'gammon' and RT or liking any posts of a combative nature. However I may make mistakes after 4 years of instinctive habits.
