Agree, but:
1. Contact tracing is dead. There isn't a single state where we are doing a satisfactory job on tracking/tracing. NOT ONE. And that got a lot worse after the protests.
2. Social distancing is the only thing that has worked...and we aren't even doing that now.

People are HOPING states like NY/NJ are going to succeed at this, but from what I am hearing from people in NYC, this is not really going well at all.
The last public report we had was from NYT last week, and that was...pretty pessimistic.

As if things were not bad enough, many states have POLITICIZED THE TRACKING AND TRACING. I mean, this should be a national outrage...but apparently journalists don't care that New York is skewing the data analytics.

Now, I am ragging on NY, but that is not really unfair. NOBODY is doing a good job. NY's effort is just the most publicized.
My home state of Ohio, who I have praised on a lot of issues, is doing a pretty poor job of this as well.
