I just got to spend half an hour stuck in a @wmata @Metrorailinfo tunnel.

Train 113 left Farragut North headed toward Dupont at 2:36. We got about 6 cars off the platform and stopped. The operator said there was a red signal ahead.

After 4 mins, we moved up half a train length.
Then we stopped again. There was a red signal ahead, the operator said.

Then after about 2 minutes, he announced he was leaving the train because "there is a problem with the railroad".

That was the last announcement.
For the next 20 minutes, we, the people of train 113, sat alone unmoving in the tunnel.

At about 2:55, a Transit Police officer walked through the train heading forward, but didn't say anything.
Finally, at 3:01 the train started moving again. There was no announcement and no use of the inter-car buzzer, as is required by @wmata regulations.

There was no apology from the operator or any acknowledgement of anything abnormal.
Frustratingly, I was headed to a destination between Farragut and Dupont, but slightly closer to Dupont, so I stayed on the train.

If there had been any warning about the upcoming delay, I would've gotten off at Farragut North.

Treat your customers with respect, @Metrorailinfo.
