I was just informed on the way to chemo that insurance switched me to a group plan without telling me and they can no longer provide me with cancer treatments. I've been on the phone all morning trying to untangle this. Looks like no matter what my treatments are on pause.
ONE chemo treatment out of pocket is $10,000. I'm supposed to have treatments and multiple surgeries for a year plus.

Just got off the phone. I elbowed my way up the ladder, never accepting no for an answer. Managed to find 3 different ways to "fix this". All would delay my treatments for 15 days to who knows how many months. So I kept calling & found a back door. I could still be denied tho.
This back door requires me to switch surgeons. But the new surgeon is in the same network and is closer to where I live. That's a plus. And I keep both my gyno oncologist and regular oncologist. IF they approve me. I have to jump thru a few more hoops in the meantime.
If there's a way to survive any ordeal I guarantee you I'm going to find it. Come hell or high water goddamnit. Lol
