As the US President Trump's daughter Ivanka Trump also joined in with the #ChallengeAccepted campaign drawing attention to the Istanbul Convention, she was target of criticism for keeping silent against the targeting of women in the US by her father.

Adult film star Lexi Belle and former adult film star, musician and writer Sasha Grey have also supported the #ChallengeAccepted campaign by sharing B/W photos of themselves.

Women in Kocaeli are taking to streets demanding full implementation of Istanbul Convention, "we are not giving up on our rights!"

Alongside many companies, also many business associations have made declarations in support of Istanbul Convention urging the government not to withdraw from the convention.

AKP deputy Canan Kalsın reacted against her party's plans to withdraw from Istanbul Convention, "what are they thinking about the femicides in Turkey?"

Unnamed source from governing AKP spoke to Reuters, "the number of people who believe we should withdraw from the Istanbul Convention is slightly the majority in society. Next week the decision will be announced."
