#Ladakh:

1) There is too much of information overload. But people want in simple terms.

Let me try to explain in a non-military and non-diplomatic terminology so that you can undestand why China and Pakistan are playing the game they are playing in India's northernmost tip.
2) Watch this Google map closely. I made markings.

Siachen & Kargil are stars.

K2 (near Shaksgam) and Skardu are green hexagons.

All Saffron ticks are India's real borders.

The Red X's are Chinese push inside India since 1962.

Leh - Chang La - Durbok - Shyok - DBO road shown
3) DBO military airport, at 16,600 ft, is just 180 KM south East of Khunjerab Pass that connects Xinjiang in China to Gilgit of Pakistani Occupied Kashmir, further to Abottabad (Osama bin Laden's hideout) in Pakistan.

This, lifeline of the $60+ billion CPEC investment of China.
4) For a fighter jet from DBO, 180 km is nothing that too flying north of Siachen glacier!
So China wants to make it very difficult for India to reach DBO & keep it. With DBO, India has height advantage, as well as distance advantage to attack China (Chinese border is just 8 km)
5) Chinese fear that this Darbuk DBO road has now made India very capable of preventing further intrusion of Chinese, right from Pangong to Galwan Valley and beyond.

India has patrolling points along LAC named P1 from DBO, going to 20s beyond Pangong. P14 is at Galwan valley.
6) Now roads and bridges are bringing Indians very easily to all patrolling points in hours, unlike days or even weeks decades ago. Chinese fear that India can seriously climb Karakoram mountains and reclaim Aksai Chin in the future, due to infrastructure.

7) Chinese fear that if India takes over Gilgit & Baltistan in future, they would not only lose the CPEC but also the military airbase support in Skardu. Sindhu meets Shyok there.

Vital for Pak & China for their illegal hold of Indian territories of Shaksgam, Gilgit & Baltistan.
8) Chinese also worry about their own "Chicken neck" problems.

One is west of Demchok near Sindhu river origin.
Second is north of Gangotri in Uttarakhand.
Third is near Lipulekh in India-Tibet-Nepal tri-junction.

India can cut off these, using infrastructure being built.
9) The BRO Himank team has constructed the world's HIGHEST motorable road, 86 km in length, connecting Chisumle and Demchok villages in south East Ladakh.

The road, at the height of 19,300 feet is a big threat to China at Sindhu river basin. 62 such vital roads being built!
10) So in essence, India has tremendous advantages now with a great road to DBO, DBO military airport itself, Kargil infrastructure, Siachen heights (world's highest battlefield) and good connectivity to the Western part of Pangong lake.

Communists of Beijing seriously rattled.
11) Chinese fear for Aksai Chin & Shaksgam valley.

And for CPEC billions invested from Khunjerab Pass till Abottabad.

And for Tibetan Chicken necks.

So they are trying to push India away from Shyok in north east & Pangong Tso in south East of Ladakh with current aggression.
