Many people question when actually Satantan Sanskriti arose?
If we talk about history most of us know 320BC when Alaxender crossed Sindh.
But Sanatan is Ancient.
I will try to calculate the time frame of begining with help of Ved and our Ancient History.

In Vedic yug there was a lipi called Brahmi, it was all pictorial, nothing was written.
Teachings of Vedas were called Shruti, that means you have to listen, learn and pass it on in form of Shruti.
Aquired knowledge became Smiriti(memory).
That's how sages imparted gyan and

In end of Sat Yug they realised importance of written documents.
Rishi Madhuchhanda wrote down the first Mantra of Rigved:
ॐ अग्निमीले पुरोहितम| यज्ञस्य देवमरित्विजम्| होतारम रत्न धातमम(plz ignore udat anudat)
ऋषि: मधुछन्दा , देवता:अग्नि
In end of Sat Yug they realised importance of written documents.

Please understand Ved was eternal, nobody wrote it.
Ved travelled from Saptrishis to Satyug which was documented by group of Rishis same way as the first mantra was

Vedic yug begin with from Padmja Bramha and Hindu calendar began on Chaitra Shukla Paratipad(२१ march) 9320 years back.
