#Thread Guys will guide you how to be smart and thoughtful when you receive a Hospital bill. You must know the disputable points whenever they charge blindly. Many good guys guided me before doing the payment. You too do the same. Remember you have to know the points for dispute

Some municipality rules like minimum Bed charges for Special deluxe rooms, special ward, etc. In my case these were the points.
Points

1) PPE kits they will charge you 1300-1800₹. Ask them whether we can arrange it for you. It's easily available in the market now.

2) Same goes for the medicines and other Essential pharmacy items. Ask them whether we can make it available from outside. You can save upto 35-25% on this.
3) Keep a tab on Pharmacy bill. Take a note on Medicines how many times they bought it. In my case they mentioned anti flu

Tabs 3-4 times in 6 days period. Anti flu comes in 10 tabs per leaf.
4) Here comes the main point Bed sheet or pillow charges. Yes they do it. They were caught on this. First they are charging you for a seperate Room with toilet 12k - 15k, then y seperate charges for this thing.

Remember it's a govt circular mainly in all cities. They must charge for super deluxe not more than 10k.
5) Xray, 2 echo charges. Mainly all the hospital charge 400₹ for xray 2d echo depends 3000₹ I guess. Not more than that. Keep a tab of your X-rays done. You have to do it.

6) Know your admission dates if after 12am midnight date changes. Remember. Keep a tab of all days.
7) Remember the date when they put off from O2 and Saline. Charges will be made accordingly.
8) Along with PPE kits keep a tab on gloves &mask charges they mention. Ask them is it

Necessary to give this too. As they wear same Kit, Mask & Glove attend several patients at a time. So think how many times they have charged for this too.
9) Each medicine is to be taken once or twice so again I will say keep a tab on your medicines.
Keep a watch on everything

I know we are not in good health. But this can be done by anyone. Last not least if you aren't able to do this all points. Rest your case and ask hospital to do minimum discounts. No need to call any corporator or any social worker to do the dispute. You can do it on your own.

In the end you will b saving your hard earned money. Just like a self appointed lawyer raise questions & for sure they will rest the case. As they got other work to do. They will not concentrate on ur case when you are well. As they want new patient to get admitted.

Dispute will take more than 5-8 hrs but in the end it will be worth. Hospital just play games in Bed Charges and pharmacy bills.
P.S. I forgot to mention they charge for tissues too 😋
