Mahaprayan Diwas: #SwamiVivekananda's attained Mahasamadhi in 1902 at 9:10 pm at the age of 39 years and 5 months. He fulfilled his own prophecy “I shall not live to be 40 years old." 2/12
He may have left his body at the age of 39. But #SwamiVivekananda continues to inspire Hindus to live a honourable life and fight for Dharma and nation for years to come. He had great charisma that truly convinced the youth to do their important roles in the society. 3/12
#SwamiVivekananda was the man who took the Vedanta philosophy and Yoga to the Western world that reformed Hinduism drastically. He is credited with raising interfaith awareness, bringing Hinduism to the status of a major world religion during the late 19th century. 4/12
Its was at Chicago, Illinois on September 11, 1893, where he quoted "I am proud to belong to a religion which has taught the world both tolerance and universal acceptance. We believe not only in universal toleration but we accept all religions as true." #SwamiVivekananda

#SwamiVivekananda's pre-monastic name was Narendra Nath Datta. He was born with a temperament of yogis and used to meditate from a very early age. Even though he was part of an aristocratic family, but after his father expired he faced poverty and was proud about it. 7/12
