At one point I was willing to assume some of these reporters/editors are just ignorant and don't follow the news, but this is just intentional dishonesty. The reference here wasn't about confederate statues, but the founders & other similar examples.
The sentence doesn't even make sense. How would removing Confederate statues discredit the founders?

Until you realize she was clearly referring to memorial for the founders and never mentioned a word about Confederate statues.
Seriously, @talstales, did you just miss all these examples of people intentionally targeting memorials dedicated to the founders and others having 0 to do w Confederacy?

And then this dishonest reporting gets picked up and spread by dishonest partisans. Reid admits it makes no sense, but just assumes the worst instead of allowing for the possibility The Hill got it wrong.

Horrific.

A group of armed protesters blocked a car that was trying to turn into a parking lot near where Rayshard Brooks was shot and someone in the crowd then shot into the car killing an 8-year old girl.

She would still be alive if Atlanta leaders had cleared the barriers in the area instead of trying to appease the protesters. Enough is enough.

It's kind of astonishing that people are still making this mistake. The charts going around comparing case counts from Europe and the US tell you almost nothing because our tests per capita are almost double most of Europe right now.
The press spent months yelling about how we don't have enough testing, and now they are using the fact that we have continued ramping up testing and identifying cases being missed in most countries as evidence we are doing much worse. It's very frustrating to watch.
Although there is a lag, deaths per capita are a much better indicator of where we are and the direction. You can see it's a mixed bag. Several European countries are flattening more, but had much higher curves originally.

This is such a revealing tweet. All the data points to DeSantis being at least 100X a better Governor, especially with respect to COVID-19, than Cuomo. But Tom associates himself more with Cuomo so he rejects data that might contradict his preferred conclusions.
it's a nice trick also to associate Fauci with Cuomo and "Jesus won't let me get Covid" with DeSantis to justify that belief. Meanwhile, DeSantis was smart enough not to send sick COVID patients into nursing homes.
Maybe if self-described elites were a little less focused on FL's beaches and screaming about non-existent vetillator shortages in March, they'd have noticed Cuomo not cleaning subways, sending Covid-19 patients to nursing homes, & allowing sick nurses to keep going to work then.
