I recently did a thread about coaches in South Africa and today we learned that @ChippaUnitedFC fired another coach 🙈🙄.

Here's a quick thread on how previous #Chippa coaches fared.

Chippa's first coach after promotion to the #PSL back in 2012 was Manqoba Mnqgithi. Mnqgithi lost his first two games against Sundowns and Free State Stars and was quickly shown the door in what was the first of many trigger happy moments for

Mnqgithi was replaced by Julius Dube who got them their first point after a draw with Black Leopards in September 2012. That one game proved to be his only game in a caretaker role which latest just under a month.

Up next was the late Roger Sikhakhane would would coach them for the first time in the PSL during that season. He had 30 games over SIX different spells with the club - the last coming in the 2017-2018 season.

In October 2012, Farouk Abraham's took over and he lasted just three months of his two and a half year contract. He was shown the door in January 2013.

Wilfred Mugeyi would be the next man to walk the plank at #Chippa

Mugeyi was the Chilli Boys fifth coach in their debut season, lasting just eight games between January and April 2013.

He would be replaced by Englishman, Mark Harrison who resigned after just six games following the clubs relegation to the NFD

Harrison was replaced by Ian Palmer who had a great record with Chippa in the NDF, taking them to second on the table. He was in charge for 13 matches, winning seven and drawing three before being strangely let go.

Vladislav Heric would take over for his first stint at Chippa in the NFD, leading them to promotion in the 2013-2014 season. He would later return for a second eight-game spell in the 2017-2018 season.

Keeping up the hectic pace of managerial appointments, #Chippa hired Kosta Papic in July 2014 and he resigned in September citing u happiness over the appointment of a technical director.

Up next was the dramatic spell of Ernst Middendorp who took over in January 2015 before being suspended and then fired for "being disrespectful to management". That is arguably one of the most bizarre managerial spells in #PSL history

Remember that technical director who led to Kosta Papic resigning? His name was Mich d'Avry and would take over from Middendorp as caretaker before being swiftly fired along with his entire technical staff in another dramatic turn of events at Chippa.

Velile Dyaloyi would be the next man through the revolving door while Chippa were in the NFD, lasting two games as caretaker coach before moving on.

Dan Malisela would come in for his first stint as #Chippa caretaker manager in December 2015.

All in all, bra Dan would manage Chippa for a total of 61 games in five stints with the last ending August 2018. Three of the stints were permanent while two were as caretaker. Dan Dance was recently quoted as saying he would take up another job if #Chippa came calling again.

Former @ChippaUnitedFC player Mbuyiselo Sambu was appointed as caretaker manager for three games in April 2017. He was replaced by his assistant, Teboho Moloi, who was in charge for 23 games between September 2017 and March 2018.

The next permanent appointment after Dan Malesela's last stint was Eric Tinkler. Tinkler joined in August 2018 and lasted all of ten games, leaving the club in the relegation zone. Joel Masutha would take over as interim boss between December 2018 and January 2019.

Up next on the ridiculous merry-go-round was Clinton Larsen who took over the reins and would be in charge until September last year. He would be replaced by Duran Francis who took over in an interim basis for one game.

Norman Mapeza would join the Chilli Boys in October of 2019 but announced his shock resignation just five months later.

In the latest bizarre twist at Chippa, they announced that Rulani Mowena would take over on a loan basis until the end of June. Rulani was meant to finish the season but Covid 19 put paid to that and Chippa opted not to renew his loan deal with Pirates.

And now, Lehlohonolo Seema is set to take over. I really have no idea how long he will last but I wish him well. Chippa really need a solid base from which to grow.
