𝐑𝐮𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐛; here’s the general guide I use when I start terraforming micro environments:
1. One/two trees 🌲
2. Bushes/flowers 🌷
3. Log stakes/country fences🍂
4. An item or two 🪑
5. 2-3 Floor paths 🍃
6. Some lights/lamps ✨

𝐓𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲, eg: this is the entrance to my library. I imagine riding my bicycle, parking it underneath a tree, and then returning my library books in the tiny library 📖 Create a story and it helps you figure out how to decorate 🐻

𝐓𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 💦 I can literally start a whole thread about this, but little islands are such a nice way to fill up pockets of spaces that you don’t know what to do with 🌴

𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 💙🤍 Dont be scared of it! Pick 2 colors as your base (I picked blue and white for my fish market) and make sure all your items fit the theme color 🐟💦

𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐤 ✨ All cottage core islands need to look cute at night because we don’t sleep LOL so catalog all the lights and spam 100 mush lamps 🍄🐻

𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐬; this was the hardest for me to figure out. But once I did, it’s my fav part of terraforming. Go crazy with it! ☺️ Dont limit yourself, because it really gives so much character and life to your island. 🌿

𝐇𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐧, there’s not right or wrong way to terraform, only the way that makes you happy and proud of your island 🐻🌿🌻🍄🌲🧸 So do what makes you the happiest! ☺️
