Last week we saw that the Devil is a

- Slanderer

This is how the devil operates, via deception, accusation, and slandering.

Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

The indwelling of the Spirit has caused us to move from the flesh to the Spirit

Now that we are in the Spirit we can, therefore, walk in the Spirit.

The devil's realm is in the flesh, that is where he operates.

If you sin, Yes God is not condemning you, but when you sin you walk in the flesh.

For example, If you lie, yes God has forgiven you, but there are repercussions of your actions; people would no longer trust the words of your mouth.

Galatians 5:14-16 ...This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

You can not walk in the Spirit and walk in the flesh together.

The first thing the devil does to attack a believer is to get him to walk in the flesh than the SPirit.

This is because when you pray and feed your mind with the word, it is walking in the Spirit. And if you don't do this you'd go in the direction of the flesh.

The believer must take heed of himself that he walks in the Spirit every time.

Let's take the life of David as an example

The devil operates via the Lust of the eyes

2 Samuel 11:1-27 Read the whole chapter
This chapter showed how David was tempted via lust of the eyes and how he proceeded to kill Uriah.

Was God pleased with what David did? No

See 2 Samuel 12:1-6 And the Lord sent Nathan unto David. And he came unto him, and said unto him, There were two men in one city; the one rich, and the other poor. The rich man had exceeding many flocks and herds:

3 But the poor man had nothing, save one little ewe lamb, which he had bought and nourished up: and it grew up together with him, and with his children; it did eat of his own meat, and drank of his own cup, and lay in his bosom, and was unto him as a daughter.

4 And there came a traveller unto the rich man, and he spared to take of his own flock and of his own herd, to dress for the wayfaring man that was come unto him; but took the poor man's lamb, and dressed it for the man that was come to him.

5 And David's anger was greatly kindled against the man; and he said to Nathan, As the Lord liveth, the man that hath done this thing shall surely die:

6 And he shall restore the lamb fourfold, because he did this thing, and because he had no pity.

Now David was carried away and judged the Man in Nathan's story.

2 Samuel 12:7 And Nathan said to David, Thou art the man. Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, I anointed thee king over Israel, and I delivered thee out of the hand of Saul

Now the result of David's action

2 Samuel 12:9 Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the Lord, to do evil in his sight? thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife to be thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon

2 Samuel 12:10 Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thine house; because thou hast despised me, and hast taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife.

2 Samuel 12:13 And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the Lord. And Nathan said unto David, The Lord also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die.

This shows that God has forgiven David and He wouldn't put him away.

2 Samuel 12:14 Howbeit, because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of the Lord to blaspheme, the child also that is born unto thee shall surely die.

Devil attacks by enticing you away from walking in the Spirit. There is a repercussion when you in flesh.

According to the Law of Moses, If a man steals from another he is to repay it in four-folds.

So David lost four sons. We saw the baby that died, Amnon, Absalom, and his Firstborn.

As believers, we can go in prayer to annul every arrow of accusation.

If you have offended anyone, take it to prayer to help you sort it out in the physical and approach the person to make amends.

Don't give the devil a case of accusation against you.

Daily build on the word and pray, be mindful of what you say about the people.
