for a bill that's all about 'restoring balance from overpowered unions' Bill 32 sure has a lot of stuff in it that's going to affect everyone #ableg

Here's a thread on some of the NON union stuff, if it passes as is.:
Layoff / termination pay would in many cases be reduced, and employers could take significantly longer to pay the final amount. Employees who quit without due notice could have their final pay date calculated at 'date of notice + x weeks notice period + 31 days'
13 and 14 year olds can be hired for some jobs without youth employment permits required (at the lower min wage allowed for youth employment)

Employers gain more power to deduct from paycheques, primarily in cases of previous payroll errors.
Long shifts / extended work schedules no longer require an urgent / emergency nature

Shift changes no longer require 8 hours of rest / 24 hours notice in all cases
The wording of how rest breaks after x hours of work are determined is altered, to put the timing of the break more clearly in the employer's control

shifts of 24 days on no longer require a minimum 4 days off in all cases.
work averaging agreements can now be imposed by employers without requiring agreement by employees; averaging agreements can now use an entire year's worked hours instead of 4 months for calculating time off, overtime pay.
Averaging agreements no longer require an end date and can be indefinite / forever in some cases

Holiday pay, in many cases, for part-time employees, will be reduced due to altered methods of calculating average wages.
periods for temporary layoffs are increased from 60 to 90 days max

Prior notice of layoffs to the affected people is no longer required / expected
Notice of mass layoffs to the Minister no longer have more requirements the larger the layoff is; all mass layoffs of 50 or more have a flat 4 week notice to the Minister. No notice is required to lay off seasonal workers en masse.
Exceptions to typical work standards are easier to put in place, and seem to have the capacity to exempt whole industries from normal rules, although this needs more scrutiny.
