Alberta, it's been a busy, busy few months for the UCP. Let's explore all the ways they've reduced incomes, or made things more expensive for you, shall we?

Changes to family benefits and tax credits, resulting in reduced income / increased cost for most families
Min. wages rolled back for youth

Removed caps on vehicle insurance, causing 15-30% hikes in rates

Budget adds 20% more debt this year for Albertans to pay off than NDP plan, $40B over next few years, nearly doubling what our children have to pay off.

Policies caused credit rating downgrade, making that debt more expensive for AB to pay over time
Cancelled oil by rail, which it turned out we actually needed, at a cost of $1.5B to Albertans

Overtime laws changed, no longer time and a half required

Removed cap and changed structure of electricity market, causing potential brownouts and massive spikes in bills (doubled in one month potentially)

Min wage provisions, safety regulations, scrapped for farm workers
Tuition increase - 21% over next 3 yrs

Interest rate increase on student loans, tax credits cancelled.

De-indexing of taxes and AISH, creating a 2.5% cut to AISH due to inflation each year, and an increase in provincial income tax due to bracket creep
Doctors locked into only being able to practice / bill in certain areas, and only see patients for 10 minutes at a time, forcing multiple visits

Cut to education, health care funding, cuts to city funding that turn into fee increases in education, health services, property tax
Cancelled the provincial carbon tax and associated programs that benefited Albertans, turning a net positive (every carbon tax dollar generated return revenue) into a net negative

Failed to implement recommended action on dental costs, meaning dental costs will rise at least 5%
Increased funding to private schools and privatized health care at the expense of public services. School cuts increased fees for parents by hundreds of dollars per year.

Generated a massive amount of job loss in most sectors and the single largest one-month loss in decades, except ineducation and health care. Announced plans to cut education and health care, and other public services by 7,000 jobs.
I see I messed up the resolution on some of the images. Apologies. Here.
