Some highlights from the Tesla SUA lawsuit filed this week:

1. $TSLA has a long documented history of reports of Sudden Unintended Acceleration. ~70x more SUA complaints than the average automaker.
2. $TSLA tried to solve the SUA issue with Obstacle Awareness update in October 2018

The update only went to cars that had Auto Pilot II hardware installed meaning no attempt was made to solve the SUA in cars without this hardware

Update didn't even address parking situations
3. 1/2 of the SUA complaints come from cars that have Hardware 2.0 installed

Obstacle Awareness is insufficient to solve the SUA defect.
4. The vast majority of SUA events have occurred while the car is parking.

Tesla has known this is an issue but has done little to disclose, explain, fix or program safeguards to prevent the issue.
5. Tesla's Automatic Emergency Braking does not activate if the car believes that the accelerator has been pushed even if it detects an object right in front of the car

Tesla has known it has a SUA issue for years yet has not designed a fail safe to prevent or mitigate the issue
6. Tesla has repeatedly lied about its SUA problem.
Pictures of the SUA accidents for some of the plaintiffs
And more....
7. The SUA problem is in ALL Tesla Models and Model Years.

Tesla's software is designed to record an accelerator was pushed in every SUA accident

Tesla settled a prior SUA case with a software fix. Clearly that fix hasn't worked.
