Case involves the Major Crimes Act and asked whether Indians committing crimes on Creek land could be subject to state criminal law. Answer: no.

A major ruling upholding the status of Native American tribal lands.
This is the second time this term Gorsuch has crossed the aisle to join the liberals and write a majority opinion. First time was the LGBT discrimination cases, when Chief Justice Roberts also joined. This time Roberts wrote the dissent for the other four conservatives.
