THREAD: It's unfortunate that hysterical & untruthful stories against COVID19 Govt Hospitals in Telangana are creating an exaggerated picture in minds of many & preventing them from seeking timely treatment It's also very unfair to the excellent frontline staff of these hospitals

You've every right to criticise, find faults & seek redress. But the picture being presented is one where Govt Hospitals seem to have simply "stopped" treatment. This is neither truthful nor beneficial to anyone. It is preventing poor people from accessing emergency healthcare

Stories of patients hesitating in seeking healthcare & withdrawing from govt hospitals are worrisome because these are folks without means to seek treatment in private facilities

Govt Hospitals are providing free covid-19 treatment. Many patients have recovered.

Someone with COVID required dialysis & reached out to me. I spoke to folks at Gandhi Hosp & got him admitted. After receiving care for a day, he was anxious about the quality of treatment & chose to get discharged & stay home. Sadly he passed away within 34 hrs of leaving

Woman from Makta tested positive for COVID19 was pregnant & also getting fits.Thanks to excellent medical & paramedical staff at Gandhi Hosp, she was admitted to SPECIAL GYNAEC WARD. She's now mother to a daughter. Let's not dismiss these facilities without independent assessment

Gandhi Hospital was the first to provide dialysis care for COVID19 patients (6 weeks ago). In another case, a 75 year old woman was successfully treated for the virus

My appeal to the poor is to not fall for this propaganda. We can't dismiss the services of frontline staff

One may have political goals behind this propaganda but it is costing poor people their trust in staff of govt hospitals. They can't afford private hospitals for treatment. If you do find areas for improvement, please report them fairly. There's no need to feed into mass hysteria
