#UnsolvedMysteries Ok so I have a theory regarding the note Rey Rivera left-

I want to start this off my stating that there is absolutely no way this note is the nonsense it seems at face value. Ray was a writer, a career that focuses almost solely on the authors ability to
present/convey themselves in words. That being said, everything in this bizarre note should have a meaning. Whether it was intended for him or another person to find, we may never know; however, for the sake of trying to close the case at hand, we must assume that the note
connects to the “sxicide” at hand...
There are multiple sections in which he lists groups of movies with significance to him. For this theory, I will be specifically referring to the smallest section (shown) with 5 entries.
Wide Awake
The Sixth Sense
The Village
The Others
Unbreakable
At first glance, these films have little to nothing in common, besides a few similar genres and release dates; however, upon further inspection on my part, I’ve managed to piece together some kind of theory as to what Rey was trying to convey.

The order of the films doesn’t seem
to be a coincidence, for Rey was to intelligent for that. Let’s start with the first film and go from there.
Wide Awake- this movie, unlike the rest, is a comedy and much more lighthearted. It follows a young boy determined to discover not only the existence of heaven, but if his grandfather made it there. This could represent how he began a journey of his own to discover something he
sought answers for. After all, he was a reporter (of sorts) for the newsletter, so he certainly had the means to do so.

The Sixth Sense- This more popular film depicts a young boy who can see ghosts that no one else can. This corresponds to when Rey (possibly) started to feel
dread about the matter, or how he uncovered something in plain sight that no one else can recognize. Much like the ghosts, these (now known) facts did no harm to him, but he knew they existed.
The Village- This movie tells the tale of a community surrounded by woods filled with horrible creatures. However, the people had a deal with the demons of the land stating that there would be no issues as long as the villagers did not go into the forest. At this stage in Rey’s
story, he realizes the people around him did acknowledge the “creatures” (ghosts as stated before), but they had some sort of arrangement between them. This agreement benefitted both sides, and was very tight knit amongst them.
The Others- This is where it truly takes a turn; this movie follows a mother plagued by spirits and ghosts that torment her in her home. She often doubts it, but there existence becomes more and more prevalent as the film progresses. The “ghosts” are now aware of Rey, and are
starting to insert themselves in his life little by little (becoming more violent as time passes).
Unbreakable- The last film on this revolves around a man who has impeccable luck, pursued by a dying man in search of his secret. This one is a little more tricky to connect, but it may represent how Rey has avoided them for a long while, but he is concerned his luck will run out
THIS IS JUST A THEORY!!!!! It’s the first thing that popped in my head while watching the episode and I thought I’d take it here to get the internets opinion (also I’ve only seen one of these movies in its entirety so don’t attack me). There are more movie lists and word
collections in the note, I haven’t looked at those in depth but I’d love to toss theories on here. Feel free to drop your opinions and I appreciate constructive criticism and feedback :))))
