Our Textbooks say:

"Aurangzeb ruled for 49 Years, MOST by ANY indian Ruler"

It is WRONG.

Here's the truth: Image
**800AD**

Near the Banks of Narmada.

Rashtrakuta king Govinda III was returning from his Conquest of North.

Here, his wife Gave birth to a Son, Who was named "Sharva"

Later, his name was Changed to "Amoghavarsha Nrupathunga I"
Or Simply "Amoghavarsha I" Image
Amoghavarsha Came to Throne at the Age of 15 in 815-816 AD.

These were Troubled times for him, as Rashtrakuta empire was Shrinking.

Feudatories of empire, led by western Ganga Dynasty rebelled.

Amogha, with his Cousin "Karka" Subdued almost all of the rebels by 821 AD. Image
Some were defeated in Battle and killed.
While others were won over by matrimonial Alliances.

Later Eastern Chalukyas rebelled, but they were crushed in 846 AD, when Amogha killed "Vishnuvardhan V", Son of King "Vijayaditya II" Image
Nilgunda Inscription of AD 866, All the Facts Stated Above in thread. ImageImage
Although he was a Devout Jain, but he Equally Respected other Faiths too.

His Inscriptions Start with Invoking Lord "Vishnu" For Protection. ImageImage
Amoghavarsha Ruled Upto 877-78 AD.

Thereby, His Reign Lasted for ATLEAST 62 Years.

Compare that to Aurangzeb who ruled for 49 Years.

Later Amogha Retired and Became a Disciple of Acharya "Jinasena" Image
He was a Great patron Of Literature and Arts.

During His time, many Scholarly Works were Produced, Such as
𝘎𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘵 𝘚𝘢𝘳 𝘚𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘩𝘢 of Mahaviracharya.

He himself Wrote 𝘒𝘢𝘷𝘪𝘳𝘢𝘫𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘨𝘢, a Treatise on Kannada Grammar and Poetry. Image

THREAD:
Jeremy Pine, a Hong Kong Based Art Dealer, bought this 9 CM wide clay Tablet from Nepal.

Curious to know more about it, he contacted Nandita krishna from CPR institute of Indological Research.
The image showed 4 horses drawing a War chariot having 2 figures, where one Figure was pointing Forward.

This was quite similar to Sri Krishna and Arjuna from Battlefield of mahabharata

Mughal fojdars hunted him down and he was forced to to stay hidden.

Then, he enlisted the help of Afghans (Moslem Fakirs) to get him to safety in exchange for money.
They asked him to grow his hairs and beard, and gave him short blue tunic to wear, just like themselves. And carried him throughout the region in safety.

Feeling lucky to be in safety, thus he adopted this attire (Long hairs and blue robes) for his men.
