The envisaged as Maj.Gen Badi spoke explicitly about are myopic when it comes to fire & emergency response, since they overlook such a key issue. Do we for example expect the makeshift Industrial Area Stn to be able to cater for the vast expanse, including the 5 Mukurus?@chothep

In a language the Maj. Gen clearly understands. The Industrial Area Fire Stn, depends directly on far away CBD, Kangundo Rd & Ruaraka Stns for support to tackle any Mukuru fire. So why not have an AFOB Stn, even if out of prefab containers, with an aerial water tank as a feeder?

Whilst still on the informal settlements, lets go Mathare, the CBD Main, Ruaraka or Ind Area all have quick deployment issues especially during peak traffic times. So would it not be more life saving to have a nucleus at Eastleigh, also serving as quick response for Majengo?

If we were to look at the greater Kibera,with it's Lain Shaba, & Silanga, then combine it with Kibra's Makina, Karanja, Kianda, Sarangombe aka Ayany, DC, Toi & the semi-affluence Joseph Kangethe area. Wouldn't having a nucleus around the Kibra law courts be opportune?@Hitlerlaw2

High expectations are placed on Nrb fire service, including Emergency Med Services (EMS), Disaster response, HAZMAT incidents, RTA's, tech rescues. With terrorism always on the periphery. So how would @NMS_Kenya cater for these needs with 4 cartoon stns? @Ma3Route @SaveLivesKenya

With a CFO faced with colonial policies balancing community service expectations with finite resources & bossed by idiots without solid technical foundations for evaluating the impact of staffing & deployment
decisions, can Nrb function with a 700 crew of aging first responders?

To me, Nrb Fire Service's core values under @NMS_Kenya are simply to:
Protect lives, property, & environment thro prep'dness, prevention,public ed & emergency response with an emphasis on quality services, efficiency, effectiveness,& safety. Why the stepmotherly treatment then?

@NMS_Kenya is duty bound to also look at some Sonko ignored consequences .
1. Human impacts (firefighter injuries& deaths)
2. Economic impacts (property loss both direct& indirect effects)
3. Psychological impact (public confidence)
4. Functional impact (continuity of operations)

The Metropolitan- designation means an incorporated or
unincorporated area with a population of over 4,000,000 people, in the case of Nrb. How the does @NMS_Kenya intend to serve them with an aging 700 personnel & 4 cartoon Stns without FOB's? @Anon1KENYA @threadreaderapp unroll
