everyone who insists on asking me “what’s the alternative?” does not want my answer, because it is uncomfortable, and requires far more than many, if not most of you are willing to sacrifice. there is no easy one size fit all answer that can be explained in 280 characters.
you want easy, quick solutions, and there are none to fascism. the alternative to fascism is scientific socialism. it’s taking money out of your paycheck every month and giving it to radical mutual aid funds feeding/clothing/helping house people.
it’s going outside & physically demanding politicians provide housing & healthcare for all houseless people. and throwing slushees in their face if/when they say no, and refusing to leave their office OR homes (and refusing to allow them to leave) until they change their minds.
it’s putting pressure on CEOs of food service corporations to give the food they waste and throwaway everyday to people in need of it, for FREE. it’s putting our bodies on the line to stop war and deportation machine. it’s training ourselves and dedicating our lives to community.
we’re too comfortable, all of us are. you want joe biden to be the savior, which is why you’re positioning him as such, because it absolves you from actually doing anything or giving something up materially. say it. admit it.
joe biden is not going to do shit, because he doesn’t have to do shit. he didn’t earn anybody votes. yet, MILLIONS are gonna vote for him irrespective of his lack of progressive policies. and we’re gonna let him get away with it, because on the surface he’s not trump! 🤣
it’s political violence, constant political violence. everyone wants an out from the “violent” approach to addressing the actualities of our material reality, without realizing PEOPLE ARE ALREADY DYING. everyday. we’re all inches away from dying!
if not from covid, then lack of healthcare, if not lack of healthcare then from poverty/houselessness, it’s imperialist sanctions/war. we’re already in the midst of class war, the most violent kind. but, the only ones who realize we are in war are the ones waging it, lol

my uncle is in the hospital rn battling pneumonia AND corona (and from the sounds of it, losing), because of governmental neglect in florida—and he’s economically “ok/comfortable,” so imagine what it’s like for people much poorer!!!
