When an agitator for”Palestine” claims a map of the UN partition is from 1918, before the League of Nations was created, you can see the obvious lie.

The legend in the top left is the basic flaw. It says United Nations.

The League of Nations existed before the UN in the 1920s and 1930s. It was the creation of WWI, an attempt to avoid more wars. It failed.

“Palestine” was a mandate granted to Britain to administer in 1921. 2/6

Until the creation of the State of Israel, the only independent State in that part of the world in 2,000 years was the Kingdom of Jerusalem.

No independent state called Palestine existed in history.

The area was known as Judea by the Julians who ruled the early Roman Empire. They even issued a coin when they defeated the first Jewish revolt - “Judea is captured.” This coin marks the event, see reverse side. Flavian - Vespasian was Emperor.

Before then there were Jewish Kings of Judea. Herod was the last of all Judea. There were other Judean rulers there after him too. He wasn’t a nice guy, but he ruled Judea. That’s where we Jews come from. It’s in Greek lettering.

The UN recommended the province of Palestine, granted to Britain as a Mandate by the League of Nations in 1921, be split into two states. That’s all this map is.

As a coda let me add that there is nothing intrinsically bad about the creation of a Palestinian people or that Arabs have aspirations for a state there. I support such a state being declared today.

If only there were a P leadership capable of peaceful coexistence w Israel.
