Of course Democrats are losing their minds over federal authorities stepping in to restore law and order in Dem cities. They desperately need the American people to think submitting to blackmail and giving Dems power in November is the only way to make the hurting stop.
The whole demoralization-subversion-crisis scheme only works if the targets believe the subversives are the only ones who can provide a return to normality. Even the angry members of the public have to be convinced normal life only returns if the subversives' demands are met.
It's important to keep the entire population demoralized, to suppress support for the enemies of the Democrats. People who strongly oppose their policies must be made to feel there's no hope for a normal life, so it's easier for them to rationalize staying home on Election Day.
They want people to think, "Well, I oppose everything the Dems are planning and some of it really scares me, so I'd never vote FOR them, but at least if they win the riots will stop and life can get back to normal, so I don't feel so bad about sitting this one out."
The Left is also very keen to send the message that policing is not the answer to crime, unrest, and social dysfunction - not local cops, not state cops, and not federal cops. The last thing they need right now is for Antifa to fall apart because the leaders got arrested.
For the Dem's insanely dangerous anti-police agenda to succeed, it has to become water-cooler conventional wisdom everywhere that crime cannot be addressed by hiring more cops and building more prisons. "Everybody" has to "know" that policing is futile or even counterproductive.
Remember how, in years past, left-wing papers were always expressing astonishment that crime rates could be going down as prisons filled up. Conservatives mocked them for treating simple cause and effect as a baffling paradox.
But in truth, those headline writers weren't hapless naifs. They were working hard to enforce a crucial left-wing narrative that says crime can never be reduced through aggressive law enforcement - only by giving money and power to left-wing groups and social programs.
When law enforcement clearly IS working, the Left goes nuts pushing the narrative that people are getting arrested arbitrarily by racist cops DESPITE crime rates falling for magical, completely unrelated reasons. They can never let anyone think more cops = less crime.
So they're not about to take any chances that federal law enforcement can move into Democrat-sanctioned hellholes and anarchy zones and make a real difference by arresting gang leaders. That goes for Dem bloodbath cities like Chicago too. No one can disrupt the Left's narratives.
The Left's core narrative of righteous victims lashing out against their class enemies (which in the U.S. is disguised with cant about "white privilege" and racism) cannot be disrupted by demonstrations that law enforcement can dissuade criminal activity.
And it's vital to keep law-abiding people feeling helpless and abandoned. They have to feel like nothing can be done, and believe that somehow the crime and violence are THEIR FAULT, just for living their lives. The middle class cannot be allowed to hope it could fight back. /end
