A patient may have delirium that impairs cognition that is fully reversible. In an elderly person, infection like a UTI or drug ADRs can have a drastic effect on cognition. As we age we have little physiological or mental reserve, so a small imbalance can have profound effects.
Of course patients don’t get an advance copy for studying (but do you honestly think it would help Mr. “I know it all already,” easily bored and distracted, rules don’t apply to me, “don’t challenge me” Trump lol.)
If he actually took the screen, the moment he couldn’t answer a question he’d refuse to continue. He’d behave in a manner that would make the whole process futile. Yes normally that would get him a more involved work up but screenings/neuropsych testing do require compliance.
A hallmark of his personality pathologies is non-compliance with norms and with authority. So the short of this commentary, is Trump’s pathology would say, “F**k you, I’m not doing it. Make me.”
