Two years after peak of Trump’s family separations again we‘re asking same question: where are the kids? This time it’s kids who were detained inside of a Hilton, are no longer there and neither ICE, nor ACLU which is suing for access to them, can immediately locate them tonight.

This has been going on for months. Here’s @itscaitlinhd on the expulsions by the Trump administration back in May. The number is far higher now.
The story of these particular Hilton properties, Hampton Inns, being used as a makeshift detention center by ICE contractors, was broken this week by @NomaanMerchant and @AP.
Still no update from ICE as of this morning.
From ICE spokesperson: “Due to security concerns, ICE does not disclose that information in order to ensure the continued safety of those in our care.”

NEW: My colleagues at @TelemundoNews shot video of ICE contractors taking the kids — faces blurred — out of the Hampton Inn in McAllen at 2:30AM on Friday.

I’ll join @AliciaMenendez at 6PM ET tonight on @MSNBC with the latest on this *and* the looming Monday deadline for ICE to release the children currently locked up in family detention, which could result in more family separations.
In response to my questions about whether the kids were transferred to another hotel, ORR or expelled from the country, here’s what ICE just replied:
“Due to pending litigation ICE is unable to comment further.”
