What is the BEACON Caresystem?

Uses existing ICU monitoring data: vitals, gas analysis, vent settings

Models individual pt physiology > 'smart data'
- Perfusion, shunt, dead space

Can ventilation be adjusted to optimise their physiology

Output = *advice* on how to set vent

Modulatable parameters across 3 domains:
- Oxygen
- Pressure/volume/frequency
- Level of Support

Complex interactions, risk of harm at either extremes

Challenge = 'Finding goldilocks' (plagarised from @deoxyexplorer )

System allows bedside #DataVisualization to help clinician balance parameters (decision support system cf closed-loop)
