As usual after this Ajao estate disaster, the govt will offer condolences, some people will thank God for sparing their lives, pray for the deceased and we move on. No lessons learnt, no corrections, no punitive measures, no enforcement of safety laws.

People retail gas like puff puff and akara. 'Come and fill your gas' everywhere. Left to them, it can even be sold in traffic.
Such a combustible substance is sold in every corner by people who do not have a clue about safety measures. Charlatans if I may use the word..

Try to enforce the law, false sympathies and sentiments will spring up. 'The govt is destroying businesses, what will they eat? "The country is hard.."
Go to Togo, Abidjan or Cotonou, you won't see this level of rascality. Isn't it hard in this places as well?

"Country is hard" is the excuse to be lawless. "What will they eat" has taken over common sense.
