Here's a bit of opinion about these leaks in general: game preservation is absolutely dependent on hackers. Don't tell me it's not because most of our legacy is almost entirely scene releases of games and whether these has spread or not.
So in any case, most of what we play of old games on emulators most likely came from a scene release where the original publisher and developer had no control of.
I say it right there: I think these leaks are good. But it does need a bit of control from someone to extract interesting files from private messages and then remove the private messages.
Intimacy is still something we should care about in a world where privacy almost doesn't exist.
When I say that I also expect any feel of professionalism to be gone, I can see Nintendo looking at these tweets be like "we're not gonna hire you", even though I can stay composed and I don't actually leak things myself.
When there's other people involved I'm not going to leak shit and attempt to ruin any trust. That I still feel is more important than leaks.
