📢 #COVID19 #DELCO UPDATE 7/31/20 📢

⚕️ The @PAHealthDept announced that as of 12:01am on 7/31/20, there are 970 new positive cases of COVID-19 in PA, totaling 112,048 in all 67 counties. Delaware County has 59 new cases, bringing the countywide total to 8,669.
(2/7) Allegheny is reporting an increase of 244 cases and Philadelphia is reporting an increase of 130. Of the new cases in Allegheny , 30 cases have specimen collection dates from more than two weeks ago and at least 77 are known to be among long-term care residents & staff.
(3/7) The number of tests administered within the last 7 days between July 24 and July 30 is 160,671 with 6,720 positive cases. There were 23,883 test results reported to the department through 10 p.m., July 30. These results represent the total number of tests administered.
(4/7) Sadly, the Dept. is reporting 13 new deaths from COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 7,189. There are 643 patients who have a positive serology test and either COVID-19 symptoms or a high-risk exposure, which are considered probable cases and not confirmed cases.

(6/7)😷 Cases are rising dramatically in Southeastern PA, particularly in Delaware County. We all need to do our part and stay safe! Wear masks in public, keep a social distance of 6 feet, frequently wash our hands for at least 20 seconds, and don’t touch your face.
