Hello again from Portland. There's another crowd of perhaps 1,000 out tonight.

Among them is Navy veteran Adam Winther, holding the American flag. He points out that the courthouse where the feds are located keeps improperly flying the U.S. flag in darkness each night.

Here's a look at the scene and atmosphere in Portland right now.

The crowd isn't all that pleased to see officers on top of the courthouse watching them from above.

So far, just like last night, there haven't been any officers down on the street, and the protests have remained peaceful. The crowd size is starting to shrink.

Now there's a bonfire in the middle of the street

Someone burned an American flag against the courthouse fence. Others are denouncing it as a distraction from the BLM message.

Some in the crowd cheered the burning. Others said it was a distraction from the Black Lives Matter cause.

Around the bonfire, people are discussing the need to lift up Black lives and youths. Then the talk got interrupted after it looked like someone was messing with the courthouse fence.

"This is a movement, not a moment."

I am headed out to get some rest. For the second night in a row, there was pretty much no visible law enforcement presence around the courthouse and overwhelmingly peaceful crowds.

I gotta say, it's nice to have a reprieve from the tear gas.
