There is another big crowd gathering in downtown Portland near the federal courthouse tonight, but there is another crowd of hundreds that has arrived at a Multnomah County Sheriff's Office building east of downtown.

That second protest spot has already drawn officers out.
Officers have declared the gathering an unlawful assembly and warned they may need to use crowd control munitions if people don't disperse.
Officers have arrived in riot gear
An aggressive, ongoing and swift advance
At least two arrests
Police have left the area I'm in, and a crowd of more than 100 has regrouped and is walking through a neighborhood, chanting "Out of your homes and into the streets"
A long chase
With the protest crowd now split up into different groups, it sounds like a lot of them are now headed downtown to join the demonstrations there. I'm on my way there, too.
Back at the federal courthouse, now at midnight, a crowd of hundreds is beginning a march through the city's streets.
Motivating the crowd
There's a group of DHS officers watching the crowd from inside a federal building down the street from the courthouse.
After marching for nearly two hours, the crowd returned to the federal courthouse. It's a pretty subdued scene here for the third night in a row. I'm heading out.
